Healthcare is a growing career field, especially in the State of Florida. SFSC's health science programs give students the education, training, and compassion that they need to excel and save lives in the real world. Our nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN), the dental education programs are accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation, and the radiography program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.

South Florida State College has several certifications that are brief in nature. And one of our most popular certification programs is phlebotomy. And what phlebotomists do is they are support staff for the clinical laboratory. So one of the other health science programs that we're very proud to host here at South Florida State College is the radiography program. And these individuals go into hospitals and take X-rays.
And one of the most exciting developments in the history of our nursing program here at South Florida State College; we have initiated a night and weekend registered nurse program. We've been ranked as number one for multiple years in our practical nursing program in our three-county service district.
Health care is a great need, and the dental program here has a dental clinic that serves the community. They have some specialized grants that they've received through our local hospitals and our Florida College System to take care of children. And that's one of the hallmarks of our program, but the most important thing is that we care for our community.
